Help Support a CWA in Seaside California

Posted March 15, 2022

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Glaziers Local 1621,

If you live in Monterey County and specifically Seaside, California,

We are asking you to take 30 seconds to please send an email to Seaside City Council asking them to support a Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) with the Monterey-Santa Cruz County Building and Construction Trades Council. A CWA would ensure prevailing wages, local hire, and apprenticeship opportunities.

As of now, any contractor and worker from out-of-town can perform work with our tax dollars, with no clear assurances that they are local residents. With citywide CWAs all over California, including Watsonville locally, it’s time that the city of Seaside got on board with our Monterey County working family values.

If you could please click the following link, fill out your information, and click “Start Writing”, it will prompt you to send an email to the Seaside City Council and Mayor. Thank you so much for your time on this!
