Nominations & Elections

During May’s meeting, we will be holding Nominations for District Council 16 Business Manager/ Secretary Treasurer, Local 3 Business Representative, Local 3 Officers and Executive Board, VAC Coordinator, District Council Delegates, and Delegates to Central Bodies. Candidates must be present and accept nominations at the nomination meeting unless absent on official union business or confined to their home or hospital on account of illness. The Election Committee will meet with interested candidates on Tuesday, May 31^st, at 4pm at 2705 Constitution Drive, Livermore, CA 94551, any candidates unable to attend in person may attend via Zoom for the purpose of explaining the election and campaign rules. Any candidate needing remote access must request Zoom credentials from the Election Committee Chairperson, Madison Hull at madison@www.dc16iupat.org.

STAR – SCT Class

STAR Class SCT is Introduction to District Council 16 and the Finishing Trades Associations. This course will take members on an interactive exercise through the multitude of resources and tools available to all DC16 members. Starting July 2022 this one-time class MUST be taken to attend the STAR Event and receive your Awards Recognition in 2023 forward. As of July 1, 2022 “Survival of the Fittest” and “ICRA” no longer will be accepted for attendance. Please see below for available class dates.

Supervisor Certification Training: SCT – Introduction to DC16 and the Finishing Trades Associations

Saturday, May 21^st, June 11^th & July 16^th 7am to 3pm at 2020 Williams Street. Register on the STAR website at www.dc16star.org
