Meetings and Allocation Results

Posted July 2, 2021

Brothers and Sisters,

The wage allocation for the Sacramento Area Painters was on June 23, 2021. This increase will be effective January 1, 2022. Keep in mind that the Health & Welfare is just an estimated increase amount and if it is less than $.25 the remaining amount will go to the net taxable wage. The option that passed was Option 2. The option was as follows:

  • $.25 Health & Welfare
  • $.10 Apprenticeship
  • $.05 IUPAT Admin Dues
  • $1.00 Vacation/Holiday
  • $.22 Annuity
  • Total increase $1.62

The Drywall Finishers have an increase effective July 1, 2021, this is the last increase for the contract that is set to expire June 30, 2022. The Health and Welfare increase is only an estimated amount and if it is less the remaining amount will go to the Vacation/Holiday. The increase was previously allocated as follows:

  • $1.00-Wages
  • $.25 Health and Welfare
  • $.10 JATC
  • $.50 Vacation/Holiday
  • $.91 Annuity
  • Total increase $2.75

As of July 1, 2021 we now have the ability to have in person meetings at the Union Hall. We will still have a hybrid meeting for those who would like to still get on the meeting via zoom. This however will only be through our August meeting, unless the Executive Board requests to the BMST for approval to continue the hybrid meetings. All who wish to come in person to the meetings will be required to wear a face covering. I look forward to seeing everyone in person as we move forward to opening back up to normal. I hope everyone has a safe 4th of July weekend.
