Fundraiser for Elio Diaz

Posted December 14, 2021

Brothers and sisters,

It is with a heavy heart I am writing you all today. As you may have already heard we lost our dear brother Elio Diaz to a two-year battle with cancer. Elio was admirable in his devotion to the trade and this Local Union. He held a seat as Trustee on the Local Unions Executive Board, making pertinent decisions that have greatly affected the outcome and growth of this local. Elio graduated from the Floor covering Apprenticeship obtaining Apprentice of the Year certificates and as his instructor Val Chestohin would say “Elio set the example and standard of what a Union member should be like”.

Elio left a wife and two lovely daughters behind, this creating a financial burden for his surviving family. Below is a fundraiser communication if you would like to assist the family in these troubling times. Together we can help ease the stress from the family so they can focus on putting Elio to rest.

Brother you will be missed, and never forgotten. Please make checks payable to Jessica Diaz and send to; 1701 Whitney Mesa Dr. Henderson, Nevada 89014
