Work Outlook

Posted January 9, 2026

Greetings brothers and sisters,

I’m excited to share that work is starting to pick up in the Sacramento region. Enclos has begun bringing on a few journeymen and apprentices and will be needing more in the near future. If you are currently out of work, please remember to call the union hall on the first working day of each month to place your name on the out-of-work list. If you are on the list but are on disability or Workers’ Comp and unable to work, it is very important that you notify us so we can note those issues correctly.

There are many exciting things to look forward to this year, including getting Local 767 bylaws approved, holding elections for business representatives, and continuing to build markets where we have not worked before. I will also be making a strong effort to ensure that our retired members have a voice, are heard, and are taken care of. Additionally, any member in need should feel comfortable reaching out for assistance from our local.

I have been visiting many job sites, talking with members, and making sure their concerns are heard. Whenever possible, we try our best to address those concerns and provide support. This year has been especially tough, with many members out of work and others facing financial hardships, including the need for food and other essentials. Our goal as the Local 767 Executive Board and membership is to make sure no member is left behind and that help is provided in any way possible. Please contact me immediately if you have any concerns or needs so I can assist you.

I hope to see everyone at the next union meeting.

Happy New Year, and please be safe.

Safe travels,

John Tweedt
