Sacramento area is booming!

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,
Work in the Sacramento area is booming. Major projects include the UC Davis Medical Tower, the Sacramento Airport Expansion, the Capitol Annex, and the replacement glass at the Sacramento County Courthouse.
This week alone, we dispatched over 5 people and welcomed one new members. As a reminder, it is very important to call in and put your name on the Out-of-Work List on the first working day of every month.
This weekend, the STARs program will be held at two locations: Tracy on Saturday and Sacramento on Sunday. Local 767 has approved a motion for Business Representative John Tweedt to bring pizzas and sodas to job locations once a month. The lead person on the job should provide John with the break time so he can meet with members and share a meal together.
Additionally, we will be holding a VAC event this month to improve and clean up the union hall. Please check your VAC calendar for details. The Annual Breast Cancer Walk is also coming up soon—your participation and support are encouraged.
Finally, all journeymen must make sure their certifications are up to date so we can dispatch you quickly as manpower needs arise in the Sacramento area.
Safe Travels,
John Tweedt
Business Representative
