Napa PLA!

Posted February 1, 2021

A Push for a PLA (Project Labor Agreement) in the city and county of Napa is on. The groundwork has been done as far as educating a historically non-union community and city council in Napa that PLA’s are positive to the Local economy. Through working with the building trades and Central Labor Councils it is finally time to push forward in landing not only American Canyon and Napa PLA’s but also a Napa County wide agreement that would change the game for Union employment in these areas. Big projects are being considered in Napa and the surrounding areas and we are working diligently to ensure that upcoming work will be done by Local Union workers instead of companies coming from out of town to take our tax dollars and leave our communities to spend those dollars elsewhere… we did the work to get the right people elected to the City council that see the value in what we do and now is the time to make it all come together after years of (Talks, meetings, educating and getting the right people in place) to make it all happen! We not only want to Build Union but also have all maintenance and in house staff to be Unionized workers as well.
