LOCAL 487 BYLAWS COMMITTEE 

Brothers and Sisters,

The 33^rd General Convention was recently held in Orlando Florida. At this convention there were many resolutions that passed. Some of these resolutions will add or change how our constitution as it is currently written. With that being said, our Constitution will be updated to reflect those changes. Once we get the new Constitution the District Council 16 Bylaws will have to be updated to reflect those changes as well. We will then have to get a Bylaws committee together to work together to update the Local 487 Bylaws to reflect changes in the Constitution and the District Council 16 Bylaws. We will be updating everyone as we get information. If you would like to be involved with this process join us at the Union meetings every second Monday of the month at 5:30pm. We will begin discussions regarding anything that would like to be added or changed in the current Local 487 bylaws at the meetings in the coming months. Please make an effort to attend these important meetings.
