Local 159 would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteers who stepped up on short notice to donate their Saturday to paint the CASA building.

This dedicated group came together to support a vital community resource — a welcoming space where foster parents and children from the CASA program can spend quality time together in a safe and free environment.

Over 20 volunteers worked seamlessly to repaint the building with two fresh colors, giving it a clean and professional look. While our members are skilled professionals who paint every day, they brought extra pride and care to this project, knowing it was for the benefit of their community.

CASA officials were overwhelmed with gratitude, noting that the transformation was completed so quickly it was practically finished by the time they returned with lunch. Their appreciation speaks volumes about the impact our members have on our image in the community.

This VAC project was initiated by a Local 159 member who saw a need and brought it forward — a powerful reminder that any member can propose a community service project. These opportunities not only make a difference but also help improve our Union’s image in the community.

If you’d like to help organize the next event, please use the attached VAC application form.

Thank you again to all who participated — your time, effort, and heart truly made a difference.
