On behalf of District Council 16, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of the graduating apprentices of 2025 across our affiliated crafts. Your dedication, discipline, and drive have carried you across the finish line — and as Journeymen is just beginning.
To commemorate this important milestone, we held a graduation dinner in honor of these outstanding men and women. It was a night filled with pride, recognition, and union solidarity — and a reminder of the strength of our community when we come together to lift one another up.

We are proud to highlight and recognize a few exceptional individuals who stood out during their apprenticeship:

- Industrial Painter – Armando Mata, Local 487

Congratulations on this well-earned recognition!

Acknowledging Our Training Team
A special thank you to Alex Beltran, Director of Training, and the entire apprenticeship school team. Your commitment to keeping our members trained, certified, and up to date in their craft ensures DC16 continues to set the standard in the field. Because of your leadership and instruction, our trades remain the most highly skilled and well-prepared workforce in the industry.

To all of our new graduates: You are the future of the trades. Keep pushing yourself to grow, and know that you have an entire council behind you every step of the way.
Congratulations once again!
