Join us on November 5th for the next Recovery Night

Posted October 16, 2026

Brothers and Sisters,

Mental health is a serious issue in our industry. Construction has one of the highest suicide rates of any occupation in the country, and too many of our brothers are carrying heavy burdens in silence. Stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, or just the weight of life. That silence is costing lives. District Council 16’s Helping Hands program was built to change that. It offers confidential support, counseling, and treatment resources for members and their families at no out of pocket cost. Our Recovery Nights are a judgment-free space where you can show up, connect with others who understand, and take the first step toward getting help. You don’t have to tough it out alone. Come to the next Helping Hands Recovery Night, reach out to James Boster at (925) 409-1525 or jamesb@dc16iupat.org, or talk to your Business Rep. Asking for help is a sign of strength — and we’ve got your back.
