Paint: Congratulations to The Nor-Cal Painters, who ratified their new four-year contract for July 1, 2026- June 30, 2030, with the largest increases to wages ever! $17 over 4 for Commercial and $18 over 4 for Industrial Painters.

The new contract also includes some great language changes that will benefit members, such as:

• If an employer fails to make contributions on a member’s behalf, interest is accrued that goes directly back to the member.
• Apprentices receive full premium pay for specialty work instead of a percentage.
• Job security for self admits into mental health or substance abuse programs.
• Increases to Superintendent & Foreman pay.
• Parking reimbursement increased to $40 a day.

Drywall: The Nor Cal Drywall Finishers Master Agreement is set to expire on June 30, 2026, and is currently in Negotiations. In the previous months Representatives have been talking to members in the Union Hall, on Jobsites and sending out surveys to ensure we have as much input as possible to allow us to negotiate the best possible contract. Keep an eye out for notifications about when we have an agreement that will be going out to be voted.

District Council Elections: The four-year term that our Business Manager, along with all Local Representatives serve is up this year. Nominations took place at all Local Union Meetings throughout the month of May, and a special call election is scheduled for Saturday June 13^..  Members can cast their vote at any of the polling places within the Council and every Local Union Hall is a polling place. Make sure you bring your ID or Dues Card and make sure your Voice is heard!
