🚨 They Tried to Kill the PLA — But Union Power Showed Up in Force! 💪

When word got out that the Watsonville City Council was planning to end the City-Wide PLA, Local 507 members showed up to support our brothers and sisters from Local 272. The council chambers? Packed with union workers.
And when it was time for public comment?
Speaker after speaker demanded the PLA stay in place. 💯
After a tense back-and-forth with the Building Trades Council, the City Council backed off, agreeing to keep the current PLA until a new one can be negotiated.
Union solidarity made the difference. This is what showing up looks like. ✊
