Wage Allocation

Friday July 9th, Local 1237 members will have a wage allocation for the January 1, 2022 wage increase.  During the July 6th Monthly Membership Meeting (via Zoom) we will discuss several options on how to allocate the $3.00 increase.  We owe monies for maintenance of benefits and other funds.  Here is the breakdown;

  • $0.25 for Health and Welfare increase.  If the actual increase is less than $0.25 the remainder will go to wages.
  • $0.05 for IUPAT Administrative Dues per Section 18 (a) of the International Constitution.
  • $0.15 for the IUPAT Pension per the General Executive Board Resolution #7.
  • $0.06 for Wage Equality.
  • $0.05 for the JATTF.
  • Please note that as of June 1, 2021, Local 1237 By-Laws were ratified by the members, Article 13.04 Section I (ii) increases the hourly Benefit Fund contribution goes from 3% to 6%.

We need to allocate $0.56 for the above mentioned and this is non-negotiable.  That leaves us with $2.44 to allocate as we wish.  I hope to see you all at the Monthly Membership Meeting (via Zoom) and the wage allocation here at the local union hall on July 9th from 12 pm to 5 pm for the drive thru wage allocation.  If you have any questions or comments you can reach me at (916)407-8279.
