Virtual Zoom Membership meetings:

Beginning in the month of April, Local 376 will begin having virtual Zoom membership meetings that will be on our normal scheduled meeting night and time. If you haven’t received a text asking you to confirm if you wanted to attend and give your Email through our APP system then you need to contact the Union hall to give your name and Email address so you can receive the invites for the meetings going forward. The first meetings will probably go a little long getting people checked in and to deal with any issues that this virtual meeting might present. With your cooperation and respect everything will go as smoothly as possible. District Council 16 and our Local are moving into the Digital age to make things easier for all moving forward, the time is upon us to keep up with the ever changing times around us. I know this will cause some confusions for some of our older members who have yet to make this transition and for those members we are here to help with guiding them through our systems. Working together is what Unions are all about.

I am listing the “Code of Conduct” rules for the upcoming virtual meetings

General Membership Zoom Meeting Code of Conduct

District Council 16 is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination and harassment. We ask that all meeting participants be respectful and orderly during this meeting. It is understood that this virtual meeting room is a private place and there shall be no backgrounds, signs, posters, screen names, slogans or logos that can be interpreted as offensive to any group or groups of people. Any member that enters the meeting in a state of intoxication, or who disturbs the harmony, or who uses profane or unbecoming language may be removed from the meeting by the chair. Please make sure all devices are muted unless you are speaking. Any questions will be recognized by the Chair by the attendee raising their hand via the reactions tab or comments in the chat. There shall be no video or audio recordings of this or any meeting. Please understand that video conference meetings bring new challenges and we ask for your patience as we try to provide the best experience possible.
