Updates for Contracts and Negotiations

Posted January 3, 2022

I would like to start off by wishing everyone a Happy New Years!

I want to thank all the members at Gillig LLC. who voted on 12/17 on the wage allocation. I was very happy to see that many of you voted to put a good portion of your increases into your pension contribution, this could only help you for the future when your ready to retire so that you are able to retire comfortably.

To the UCB/LBNL members, the University came back with their last, best and final. All craft shop stewards will give you all the information, we will be setting a date to vote so stay tune for that.

I have continued to negotiate an extension with OUSD for all crafts and currently finalized a extension for our SFUSD members.

For City College members we currently are meeting with the Vice Chancellor on getting Covid Bonus pay to all who have come in and help get the College opened during the Pandemic. The City of Sacramento negotiation is in its third session and currently with the surge of Omicron we will be going back to Virtual meetings.

Just a reminder our Local Union meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 5:30 I encourage everyone to come and ask questions so you get the right answers and stay informed.

Thank you and Stay Safe everyone!
