STAR EVENT

This year’s STAR’s event went off without a hitch. Again, due to COVID it was a drive through at the Apprenticeship school just like last year. Everyone received a pair of redwing boots, a Traeger Ranger grill with accessories, a nice butcher’s knife with a wood cutting board, as well as your Visa gift card. Over 500 members drove by on Saturday and Sunday, September 25th and 26th. As always, to those of you that haven’t, take your STAR Safety classes and get in on getting your rewards.

Santa Cruz PLA

The members of the Santa Cruz City Council are poised to sign on with the Monterey / Santa Cruz Building and Construction Trades for a Project Labor agreement for the City of Santa Cruz. If we need people to help defend this action to have the Council put this in place, the Local will be calling members to attend this meeting if needed to speak on Labors behalf. This will mean more Local work in this area for all of you.
