STAR Awards Event

The District Council 16 STAR Event is coming up

Saturday, October 3, 2026!

For those who have never attended, the STAR Event is much more than just an awards ceremony. It is a day for our qualifying members and their families to come together, have a great time, and be recognized for the extra effort they put into continuing their education and improving their skills throughout the year.

The in-person STAR Event is a celebration of our members, with food, family-friendly activities, giveaways, raffles, and some incredible prizes. Over the years, STAR participants have walked away with prizes ranging from gift cards, gaming systems and electronics to Sea-Doos, ATVs, motorcycles, cars and trucks!

But the biggest purpose behind STAR is the training. Every class you complete adds to your knowledge, improves safety on the jobsite, keeps important certifications current, and makes you a more valuable member of your trade. STAR rewards the members who take that extra step to continue learning and improving their craft.

So if you qualified and received your invitation, make sure you come out October 3rd! Bring the family, spend the day with your DC16 Brothers and Sisters, and enjoy an event that is all about recognizing the hard work of our membership.
