Brothers and Sisters,

Karl J. Griffiths 1/24/1939 – 8/16/26

Brother Karl Griffiths joined Local 1237 in April of 1963 and remained a member for over 63 years. He passed away on August 16, 2026, in El Dorado Hills, CA. Brother Karl was a Veteran and a life member of Local 1237. His funeral will be held on September 16^th  in Folsom, CA. When I get more information, I will pass it on.

I hope this article finds you and yours looking forward to the 4-day weekend that is Labor Day. The pay for the 4 weekend is as follows;

Friday September 4^th DDO – Paid a t time and a half.

Saturday September 5^th – Paid at double time.

Sunday September 6^th – Paid at double time.

Monday September 7^th – Per the CBA there is no work to be done during the 24 hours of Labor Day.
