Representation Cards

Brothers and Sisters,

I wanted to give the Painters an update on what is going on with negotiations for the Sacramento Area Addendum. We have only met once, and we had a hold up because we need to get representation cards signed by all Local 487 members. I have been out on jobsites speaking with as many painters as I can and getting cards filled out. If you have a chance to come by the Union Hall to fill out your card, please do so. Once I have all the cards filled out, we will let the employers know so we can continue negotiations. 

We have an upcoming wage allocation on Monday July 13. This is for the Bay Area wage increase. Please make time to come by the Union Hall to vote on this. We will be having a wage allocation vote for the Sacramento wages once we have ratified the new Sacramento Area Addendum. I will be sending out a survey once we have the addendum, so we know where you ant to allocate your increase for 2027. This will help me come up with 3 options for you all to vote on, so please take the time to do the survey.

We will be holding a Training at the Union Hall to talk about an IUPAT wide membership campaign to get members more involved. If you are interested in attending, please call me at 916-696-1106 so I can add you to the attendance roster.
