Project Labor agreements (PLA’s)

We are proud to share with you all the success of 2 project labor agreements in the Northern Nevada Region. Both projects are near completion. We are also working now to negotiate a 3^rd PLA for the region with the UNR Living Science Building.

First is the Carville Park Apartments. This is a senior living complex in the heart of downtown Reno. With the help of funding from the AFL Housing Investment Trust and the Nevada State. The project was done under a project labor agreement with all union construction workers. They have transformed these 1950 style group housing apartments into single living 1 bedroom and studios for low-income seniors. All finishes were performed by Local 567 members. 

Second is the Nevada Health Lab at UNR. This project was years in the making and after many negotiations the Northern Nevada Building Trades was able to secure the PLA on the project. With this all local 567 members performed the work on Paint, Drywall, and Flooring.
