Project Labor Agreements

Posted November 3, 2021

Why are Project Labor Agreements important? PLAs do a lot of good. They bring opportunities to the communities. Opportunity for people who live in the area and surrounding areas.

A PLA project is open to any contractor who will accept it’s terms. A PLA often targets small and minority business contractors. PLAs help support workers in several important ways. Workers receive family supporting wages and benefits. They support our local communities and the businesses around the project benefit as well.

Trade based apprenticeship programs are a key way to develop career skills within our graduating students.

We in the North Bay, have just gotten another PLA signed. The Santa Rosa City School Board approved This PLA 10-27-2021.
