Painters Contract Ratification
A tentative agreement has been reached with the Paint Contractors Association. Painters will have the opportunity to give their input on ratification of the new agreement by voting on May 19th. A text message with details of the proposal and voting locations has been sent out. See details below.
Commercial Painter proposal:
- 4-year contract for $17.00 total to the Total Package: January 1, 2027 – $4.00
- January 1, 2028 – $4.00
- January 1, 2029 – $4.50
- January 1, 2030 – $4.50
Industrial & Bridge Painter proposal:
- 4-year contract for $18.00 total to the Total Package: January 1, 2027 – $5.00
- January 1, 2028 – $4.00
- January 1, 2029 – $4.50
- January 1, 2030 – $4.50
- Daily Parking limits are from $35 to $40 per day.
- Superintendents increase $1.00 per hour, and Foremen increase $0.50 per hour.
- DDOs increased from 7 to 8 per year, and Holidays changed and decreased from 11 to 10 per year.
- Apprentices receive the premium pay.
- Shift Time and Flex Time shifts are now defined between Monday (12:01 am) and Friday (11:59 pm).
- All financial changes take effect January 1, 2027.
- Any interest or liquidated damages paid by Employer for late Vacation/Holiday Pay and Annuity shall be allocated to the affected member’s funds.
- If a member self-admits into a Mental Health or Substance Use Rehabilitation facility, the Employer shall maintain the position for the member.
