Painters Certifications Requirements 

Effective January 1, 2026

What certifications?

The certifications will change every year for the remainder of the current contract but below are the classes you must have to be dispatched in 2026:

Commercial Painters:

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, Scaffold Training, Fall Protection, Sexual Harassment, and Booms and Lifts

Industrial & Bridge Painters:

CAS Level 2 Certification for spray painters and blasters -OR-

Hanging Platform Training, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, and Fall Protection (including Ladder Safety)

AND OSHA 10 or 30 and Scaffolding. 

Please also remember that the contract ends on 6/30/2026 (Strike) and if you need to be re-dispatched you will need all of these certifications.
