Out of work?

Posted March 28, 2022

As many of you know, our Industry is a little slow currently. We hope work will be picking up soon, I hope that if you are not working that you have called the Local to be placed on the out-of-work list (OWL). It is very important to maintain your name on the list as work picks up – to keep your spot on the O.W.L you must call the Local at the beginning of the month. When you get a call from a shop or the Local to go to work, please remember it is our responsibility as Union members to ensure we get a proper dispatch to sign. If you start with a new company, you should get a dispatch to sign within the first day of work. If you do not get a dispatch to sign please call the Local immediately. As always, if you have questions or need assistance please call us.

In Solidarity,

Bob Llewellyn
