New Staff

District Council 16 has recently hired 4 new Organizers through a Boot-camp that was held over 3 days. The new Organizers are already on a campaign to take back the School repaint work in Northern California from the non-union contractors that have been cheating the systems all over the state by underpaying workers with less than the state prevailing wages and conditions and also not reporting all hours through certified payrolls. The new organizers along with the painting reps have been monitoring all of these projects to find any and all issues to make sure our contractors will be bidding against them on a level playing field to help bring these hours to our members. This is just one of the many campaigns that will be implemented utilizing the new Organizers that have been hired. Organizing is our strongest tool in the fight against cheating contractors that undermine our economy.
