Local News!

Posted March 1, 2022

Brothers and Sisters,

I would first like to start off with some local news. If you haven’t paid your Local 767 Death Benefit by February 15, 2022 you will not be covered through the 2022 calendar year. Some members have credit thought May and June. Any members who did not pay for the year or don’t have a credit for 2022 will be billed for January and February. There is no exception to pay after February 15, 2022 per Local 767 By-Laws. In January 2023 you will receive a notice to re-enroll in the Local 767 Benefit. If our Death Benefit goes above $8.00, we will have to have a Special Call meeting to decide if we will accept the new rate or go to Local 767’s Default plan per Local 767’s By-laws.

As a reminder, Nominations are in May and Elections are in June. Executive Board, Business Representative, District Council 16 Delegates, Business Manager Secretary Treasure of District Council 16 and Central Bodies are the positions that are open for elections.

Also, Local 767 AGMT Jackets are in!

Safe Travels,
John Tweedt
Regional Director/ Local 767
