Come join DC16 and the Alameda CLC for the canvassing launch for our slate of labor -endorsed candidates. The kickoff will launch its member-to-member voter outreach for the 2026 General Election. Participants will canvass union households across Oakland in support of the labor council’s labor-endorsed candidates. The Labor Council has already scheduled additional member-to-member canvasses every Saturday through the election, with September 26 listed as the next one. Please come out and show you support to the candidates who continue to work hard for our communities and support union labor.

DC16 BROTHERS & SISTERS — LET’S SHOW UP!

The third Saturday of the month is here, and we’re calling on our DC16 membership to step up and help us make our next VAC Freeway Cleanup a success!

Our next cleanup, in partnership with CBTU-NCC, will take place:

📅 Saturday, September 19th
⏰ 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 880 Freeway & Damon Slough Staging Area

This is a family-friendly VAC event held every third Saturday of the month. Together, we help keep Oakland beautiful by removing debris along the sides of Interstate 880 between the High Street and 66th Avenue exits, as well as at the Damon Slough Staging Area.

We know DC16 is capable of strong participation, and we want to see more of our Brothers and Sisters out there representing our union and serving our community.

To everyone who has volunteered and supported our VAC events in the past — THANK YOU! Your time, energy, and commitment truly make a difference.
