JOBSITE SPOTLIGHT

We would like to take a moment to highlight one of the projects currently being preformed in the Northern Nevada Region. As many of you know the area of Reno/Sparks is expanding and our road systems are constantly under construction to help with this new growth. We all know what the commutes look like in the mornings and afternoons going and coming home from work. With traffic buildups lasting hours and commuters often time frustrated. 

The project we are spotlighting is the Sparks Boulevard Capacity Improvement Project. This is a $86 million dollar renovation of the existing roadway to widen the Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes between I-80 and Baring boulevard. This will help with reducing congestion for the region.

The point of this spotlight is to highlight our members working on this project. WPI was awarded the project through Granite Construction and has put many of our members to work. The scope of work is Painting over 4 miles of soundwalls and around 7 miles of K Rail.
