IUPAT’s Day of Action

Posted May 1, 2026

Greetings, brothers and sisters,

This weekend was an incredible one as we participated in the IUPAT’s Day of Action. Across the country, union members came together to give back to their communities while also promoting the values and strength of our union. It was inspiring to see so many members volunteering their time and energy to help others and represent our organization in such a positive way.

Here in Sacramento, we had a tremendous turnout and were able to complete a cleanup project around Governor Circle. Afterward, we hosted a barbecue for all of the members and volunteers who participated. It was a great opportunity for fellowship and to celebrate the hard work everyone put in throughout the day. Supervisor Patrick Kennedy was also in attendance and took the time to speak with our members about the values he represents and the work he is doing for the district. More importantly, he worked side by side with our members during the cleanup effort, which was greatly appreciated by everyone involved.

On the Local 767 front, work opportunities in the Sacramento area are continuing to improve. We have started dispatching more journeymen and apprentices to different shops, and the out-of-work list is beginning to decrease. As always, please remember to have your certifications up to date and ready when accepting a dispatch, and if you are out of work, make sure you call in on the first working day of the month to place yourself on the Out-of-Work List.

Be safe, take care of one another on the job site, and continue representing our union with pride.

Fraternally,

John Tweedt
