Painters Contract Ratification 

A tentative agreement has been reached with the Paint Contractors Association. Painters will have the opportunity to give their input on ratification of the new agreement by Vote on May 19^th.  A text message with details of the proposal and voting locations have been sent out. See details below.

Commercial Painter proposal:

1. 4-year contract for $17.00 total to the Total Package: January 1, 2027 – $4.00
2. January 1, 2028 – $4.00
3. January 1, 2029 – $4.50
4. January 1, 2030 – $4.50

Industrial & Bridge Painter proposal:

1. 4-year contract for $18.00 total to the Total Package: January 1, 2027 – $5.00
2. January 1, 2028 – $4.00
3. January 1, 2029 – $4.50
4. January 1, 2030 – $4.50

• Daily Parking limit from $35 to $40 per day.
• Superintendents increase $1.00 per hour and Foremen increase $0.50 per hour.
• DDOs increased from 7 to 8 per year, Holidays change and decrease from 11 to 10 per year.
• Apprentices receive the premium pays.
• Shift Time and Flex Time shifts are now defined between Monday (12:01am) and Friday (11:59pm).
• All financial changes take effect January 1, 2027.
• Any interest or liquidated damages paid by Employer for late Vacation/Holiday Pay and Annuity shall be allocated to the effected member’s funds.
• If a member self-admits into a Mental Health or Substance Use Rehabilitation facility, the Employer shall maintain the position for the member.

The Drywall Finishers Agreement is still being negotiated. Keep an eye out for information regarding updates and Voting times.
