Important Dates

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to take a moment to update you on a few upcoming events and important information.

On April 25, we will be participating in the IUPAT Day of Action. This is a nationwide event focused on giving back to our communities and showing the strength of our union. Various activities will be set up across our areas and posted on the VAC calendar. I encourage all members to participate and help us build stronger community partnerships while supporting those in need.

In May, nominations will be held for Business Representative, DC16 Delegates, and BM/ST. If you have any questions about qualifications or procedures, please contact me so I can review the requirements outlined in the IUPAT Constitution. Elections will be held in June if necessary.

Also in April, we will be meeting with the Joint Executive Boards for the glaziers to discuss future wage allocations. Please stay in contact with your locals for updates and opportunities to provide input on upcoming wage allocation decisions.

As for work in the valley, it is currently slow. Enclos is still expecting to bring on additional manpower for the UC Davis Medical Tower, but there have been delays. If you are out of work, please remember to call in on the first working day of the month to ensure your name is placed on the Out-of-Work list. Please make sure you sign up for you STAR classes and keep you certifications up to-date.
