Future Work in Las Vegas for Local 159

Posted November 10, 2021

We all know that work in Las Vegas is currently very slow. In an effort to generate more work hours for members, DC16 will be hosting a roundtable discussion with local signatory contractors at the beginning of December. We will be meeting with our contractors to find out what markets they want to be in? What’s keeping them from competing in those markets? and What can the Union do to help them be successful at winning more jobs in markets we aren’t as competitive in?

We know that Local 159 will have work in 2022 from the article attached below and other reports of work to come, but we want to work with the contractors to diversify and grow our market share so members can experience more steady, and consistent work.

It’s official: Work underway at Fontainebleau 2.0
