PAINTER ADDENDUM RATIFIED

Hola hermanos y hermanas,

I am happy to inform you that DC16/LU294 and the Fresno Area PDCC came to a tentatively approved Addendum for the Fresno Painters that was then voted on by Local Union 294 Painters and ratified with 68% of the vote. The Addendum included $12.90 over four years with Double Time after 12 hours work Mon – Sat and after 10 hours work on Sunday. We also did not have to make any concessions to the previous language and added language regarding employment protection for those that may require treatment for Alcohol, Drug or Mental health issues. Overall, I feel that this Addendum provides our members with valuable increases while keeping our Employers competitive in our market.

Drywall Finishers we have scheduled negotiations to begin on your Addendum for August 26^., 2026. Please keep in the communication loops as we will be notifying you through the Unite Text System when we have something for you to vote on.

State Center Project Labor Agreement as President of your Local Building Trades I am currently on the Negotiating team that has been meeting with management of State Center Community College District. We have made positive progress on a PLA that will cover over $500.000.000 million worth of work. I will keep you posted through the process here on the website and at our regular Union meetings.

Have you taken Supervisor Certification Training 1 (SCT1)? This is the qualifying class that you must take in order to qualify for the for the R IN STAR (REWARDS) in other words to be able to attend the STAR event and be eligible to receive gifts. You must meet other qualifications as well you may find those qualifications on the STAR website at www.dc16star.org that is where you sign up for STAR classes including the SCT1 Class. I am bringing this to your attention as I have scheduled an SCT1 class for Fresno at the Local Union 294 Union Hall for Saturday September 26^., 2026 beginning at 8am. This class is limited to the first 25 members that sign up. All DC16 members are eligible to sign up for this class so if you are a member of LU294 and need this class I strongly suggest that you get on the site and sign up as opportunities to take the class in Fresno are very limited.
