I hope this article finds you and your families doing well. As we move into the summer season, there are several important events and issues that deserve the attention of our membership. Staying informed and involved is one of the most important ways we can continue to strengthen our Local Union and support one another.

One issue that continues to be a major priority is making sure that our members and their families have access to the resources they need during difficult times. No brother or sister should have to struggle alone. We are committed to helping members who may be experiencing financial hardship by connecting them with food assistance, housing resources, and other programs that may provide relief. Looking out for one another has always been one of the core values of our union, and that commitment remains as strong as ever. Also please stay involved in local and state elections.

I would also like to provide an update on our Local Union Bylaws. Currently, the revised bylaws are still awaiting approval from IUPAT. We are hopeful that a final decision will be made soon. These proposed changes are intended to provide additional ways to support our members, including assistance with dues, financial assessments, and resources for members facing other challenges. These improvements are designed to ensure that our Local Union remains responsive to the needs of the membership and continues to provide meaningful support when it is needed most.

As always, I encourage every member to stay involved, attend meetings, and participate in upcoming elections. Together, we can continue building a stronger union and a better future for ourselves and our families.
