Glaziers Local 1621 Continues Its Support for the Paralyzed Veterans of America

Recently, Glaziers Local 1621 had the honor of attending the 13th Annual Paralyzed Veterans of America, Bay Area & Western Chapter (BAWPVA) Golf Tournament at Cinnabar Hills Golf Club. This annual event brings together community members, local organizations, and supporters to raise funds for vital programs that assist paralyzed veterans throughout Northern California, Northern Nevada, and the Pacific Islands.

For our Local, this event is much more than just a day on the golf course — it’s a chance to give back to those who have served and sacrificed for our nation. The funds raised go directly toward Sports & Recreation programs, which help empower wheelchair athletes to stay active and engaged, and toward Spinal Cord Injury Research, which brings hope to countless veterans and families affected by paralysis.

This year, we were proud to bring two veterans with us to share in the experience and see firsthand the tremendous impact the Paralyzed Veterans of America has within our community. Spending the day surrounded by inspiring individuals and dedicated volunteers reminded us of the importance of standing united in support of our veterans.

Events like this one embody the values we hold dear at Glaziers Local 1621 — solidarity, community, and compassion. We are proud to have been a part of such a meaningful cause and are committed to continuing our sponsorship and support for years to come.
