Don’t Miss Out!

Posted June 15, 2026

The decisions made today help shape the direction of tomorrow for all working men and women in DC16. Make your voice heard, stand alongside your brothers and sisters, and be part of the process. Strong participation shows the strength of our membership and the pride we have in our union.

DC16 is proud to offer the Walter Cantrell Scholarship Program, providing educational assistance to eligible members and their families pursuing higher education.

Named in honor of Walter Cantrell, whose dedication to the labor movement and commitment to education helped strengthen our union, this scholarship reflects DC16’s ongoing investment in the future of our members and their families. The scholarship provides financial support to students attending accredited colleges, universities, trade schools, and other qualifying educational programs. It is an excellent opportunity to help offset the rising costs of education while recognizing academic achievement and personal commitment. We encourage all eligible members and their dependents to apply. Whether you are continuing your own education or helping a child pursue their academic goals, the Walter Cantrell Scholarship can help open doors to future opportunities.

Application information, eligibility requirements, deadlines, and scholarship details are available through District Council 16. Don’t miss this opportunity to take advantage of one of the many benefits available through your union membership. Investing in education is investing in the future of our union, our families, and our communities. The 2026 Walter Cantrell Scholarship information and application have now been posted on our website. Click the link below for more information or to apply.
