DC16 VAC Program: Building Stronger Communities, Stronger Members
Posted September 10, 2025
At District Council 16, we believe our strength comes not only from the quality of our work but also from the impact we make beyond the jobsite. The Volunteer Activist Committee (VAC) Program brings members together to give back to the communities where we live and work.
From supporting local schools and food drives to rebuilding community spaces and assisting families in need, our members’ contributions through VAC events make a real difference. But volunteering isn’t just about lending a hand — it’s about building stronger connections, strengthening our union, and creating lasting pride in the work we do!
By showing up and working together, we send a strong message: DC16 members care.
If you haven’t participated in a VAC event yet, now is the perfect time to start. Check our VAC Calendar or reach out to your VAC coordinator to find upcoming opportunities. Whether you can contribute a few hours or an entire day, your efforts matter!
Together, we’re not just building structures. We’re building hope, trust, and stronger communities. And when our communities thrive, so does DC16.
