DC16 Delegates Meeting: Welcome New Delegates

Posted June 18, 2026

At our recent District Council 16 Delegates Meeting, we proudly swore in our District Council Executive Board and Trustees. During the meeting, Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer Robert Williams officially seated our newly elected Local Union Delegates, welcoming them to their important role within District Council 16.

We want to thank each of our Brothers and Sisters for stepping up and accepting this responsibility. Their willingness to serve demonstrates a commitment to strengthening our union and representing the interests of our membership.

Each positions plays a vital role in the success of District Council 16. The Executive Board helps provide leadership and direction for the organization, reviewing important matters, making decisions that impact our members, and helping guide the future of our District Council. Trustees serve an equally important role by overseeing the financial well-being of the organization, helping ensure accountability, transparency, and the responsible stewardship of members’ resources.

Delegates are elected by their fellow members to serve as the connection between the membership and union leadership. They attend District Council meetings, review reports, ask questions, and vote on issues that affect our members, local unions, and the future of our union. Just as importantly, they bring the concerns, ideas, and priorities of their fellow members to the District Council, ensuring that every local union has a voice at the table.

A strong union depends on active and engaged members who are willing to get involved. By serving as Executive Board members, Trustees, and Delegates, these individuals help promote transparency, accountability, and member participation while working to protect our work, support our members, and build a stronger future for the next generation.

Congratulations to our newly sworn-in Executive Board members, Trustees, and Delegates. Thank you for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to District Council 16 and the members we proudly serve.
