March 26, 2024Contract Negotiations
Posted January 21, 2021
The contract set to expire on January 31st, 2020 is currently in the process of negotiations. Local Union 1512’s negotiating team which includes, Robert Williams (Business Manager/Secretary Treasure), Madison Hull (Director of Service), James Hewitt (Assistant to the BM/ST), Jason Lamberth (Regional Director) and myself.
We have met with the PDCA/FCA and Management to discus the terms of this agreement. There have been four (4) meetings between labor and management. I have growing concerns with the way management has been reluctant to expedite this process. It is imperative to finish negotiations and deliver the employers best, last, and final offer to you, the membership. Then you the membership will have the ability to determine if your employers offer is suitable when voting on the terms and conditions of the proposed contract.
The DC16 negotiating team is hopeful we will see a tentative agreement by mid next week. Once we have an agreement notice will be sent out to Local 1512 membership for a time and place to vote.
