Community Benefits Agreement Rally

Brothers and Sisters, I hope you’re all doing well.

On March 22^nd, the Southern Nevada Building Trades hosted a CBA rally.

A Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) is a partnership between the local government and construction trades to ensure that construction projects deliver tangible benefits to the local community. This CBA guarantees fair wages, safe working conditions, and valuable training opportunities, thereby fostering a more equitable and skilled workforce. By increasing local hiring requirements, the CBA not only boosts employment rates within the community but also provides enhanced access for first-year apprentices to enter the trade. That means local people will go to work before out of town contractors. 

We need to continue to support these types of events, it was great to see so many yellow t-shirts (painters union’s t-shirt) around the building, we will be at every event, but we need your assistance, we need you to show up and help us get more work, politicians like to see working families interested and engaged.
