Business Representative Joe Sanders

Posted October 7, 2021

Hello Brothers and Sisters

I would like to introduce myself, Joe Sanders, your new local 913 business representative. I am a 2nd generation IUPAT member, my father has been a Drywall finisher out of local 741 for over 30 years, and I also have a a uncle and cousin in the union. For the past 10 years I have been a painter working for several different companies, Darden Painting inc. being the one I spent most of my time with, running work for the past few years up until taking the rep position.

Since taking the position we have really hit the ground running!  In the first two weeks I’ve visited several jobs, accompanied with my colleges Anthony Nuanes of Floor Layers Local 12 and Bart Pantoja of the Glaziers Local 718, to make sure things are as they should be and pass out shirts to our members. I have met with several contractors around San Francisco to introduce myself and will be volunteering in upcoming precinct walks and events for labor friendly political candidates.

Some goals of mine as the new representative is to get out into the field and check on as many jobs as I can to make sure our members are getting the work that we are entitled too. I would also like to open up clear lines of communication between the members and myself. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I will always do my best to get you the information you need.
