An Attack on One is an Attack on All

District Council 16 stands in full support of our Brothers and Sisters out of District Council 10, Local Union 1778 in Texas who are on strike fighting against unfair proposals that would take away hard-earned wages and gut their pension plan. These attacks threaten the livelihoods and retirement security of working families and are simply unacceptable.

An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. That is why DC16 organizers showed up to support and stand in solidarity. When union members are under attack, we stand together.

The fight taking place in Texas is bigger than one local union or one District Council. It is about protecting the standards that generations of union members have fought to achieve. DC16 proudly stands with the DC10 Glaziers and will continue to support them as they fight for the wages, benefits, and retirement security they have earned.

Working people deserve fair wages, secure retirements, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing their future is protected.
