What’s New?

Posted September 12, 2022

I hope this article finds you and yours doing well and getting ready to get these 100 plus degree days behind us.  Work has slowed a little the last few weeks and there are several members on the Out of Work List (OWL).  If you are out work you must call in and put yourself on the list OWL and o remain on it, you must call in the first day of every month.  If EDD calls and asks if you are on the list, we have to be honest and if they find out you are not looking for work you could have your benefits denied.  Tis week at the Monthly Membership Meeting it was voted to change the October 4th meeting to October 11th due to a scheduling conflict.  The meeting will still start at 5:30 pm, but we will be using the 3rd floor instead of the 2nd.  Recently I was assigned to attend the LMCI Flooring Summit in October, in southern California.  I have spoken with several of our contractors to see what they think of the current state of the flooring industry.  In the next week or so I will be visiting job sites to speak to members on what they think.  In the coming months I would like to start doing member profiles and would also like to profile our retirees.  If you are interested, please give me a call.  As always, I can be reached at (916) 407-8279.
