In person meetings and AGMT

Posted August 16, 2021

Brothers and Sisters,

The latest with your local union:

Business Representative, President, Financial Secretary and Treasurer are meeting this week to review our financials and discuss the build out of the new union hall at 65 Oak Grove. It is the goal of the Executive Board to be moved in by the first quarter of 2022.

The quest for certification of our industry continues. If you are a journeyman I highly recommend for you to apply, test and acquire the AGMT certification. This is the vehicle to increase our negotiating power by gaining and protecting our market share. Check out the link below of a documentary produced by Drexel University.

Quest for Quality, documentary on the goals of our AGMT certification. https://1513041.mediaspace.kaltura.com/media/The+Quest+for+QualityA+A+Certified+Solution/1_jrwatk9i

In other news, Glaziers Local Union 718 had our first in person meeting. Seven new members were sworn in. It was a good and informative meeting. If you plan to attend our next meeting, be advised that masks are required and credentials of membership, i.e. Member Mobile Portal app.  Hope to see you out on the job or at our next meeting on the Second Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm.

In solidarity,

Brother Bart Pantoja
