Out of Work?

Posted March 30, 2021

Brothers and Sisters,

I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to remind you all that if you are not working you need to call and get on the out of work list. We start a new list at the beginning of each month so remember to call at the beginning of the month if you are still out of work. Another thing I would like to remind you about is work referrals. We sent out notifications to employers this month and have got a lot of responses saying the member no longer works for the company. After speaking to a few members I am finding out that a lot of members are working for different companies. You need to have a work referral on file with the Union so we know where you are working. Per the Northern California Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article 6 Section 4-The employer shall require each new employee to present a written referral from the Union prior to putting the new employee to work. We need to know who you are working with to send notifications to the correct employer. Things have picked up in our area so if you are not working call the Union Hall to get on the list. Don’t forget to download the IUPAT Mobile Member Portal app and register to be able to pay your dues on the Website
