HAWK FIRE VOLUNTEER EVENT

Posted October 30, 2026

This past weekend local 567 had a group of volunteers assisting with efforts to help families effected by the recent hawk fire north of Reno. As we are all aware the Hawk Fire effected many local residents of the Reno area and has impacted the whole community through evacuations and some structures lost.

Members of local 567 teamed up with regional partners to offer assistance in helping home owners that lost their properties. They cut down bunt trees and moved debris into piles so they could be taken away by dumpsters. During this process they also met with home owners to listen and offer assistance in any way possible to rebuild.

Thank you to everyone that came out. With your help these communities will build back stronger.
