My name is Dominicka Elias. I’m in the Automotive Painter’s trade. I started working at Gillig at the age of 18 in the summer of 2012 as a summer hire. Most people wanted me to stay for most of my summer help years. I gave in summer of 2014. I’ve been with Gillig company for 12 years. I’ve learned to paint and do many different jobs. 

My advice to anyone who wants to join the trade, I would say not to be scared but try new things. Try and do volunteer work to get the idea of getting experience. Don’t be scared to join because it’s mostly men. Women can do the jobs as well!
