The weather has been wet and while it may seem like there is no work to be had, there are still some contractors requesting dispatches. If you are not calling on THE FIRST OF EVERY MONTH to be put on the Out of Work list, you could be missing out!

PAINTERS: In addition to the required certifications from 2025, you MUST be current with the following certifications to be dispatched:  OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 and Scaffold Training.

Also, if you have been waiting for a call back to work, now is the perfect time to contact the STAR Program and make sure your certifications haven’t expired or sign up for new classes and expand your skillset! Star classes offer Trade Skills, Safety & Survival Skills and Supervisory Training. All of this FREE to you. WHY WAIT?!

Painters & Drywall Finishers contracts are both ending in June and it’s coming up quickly! The best way to make sure your input is heard is to come in every 2nd Thursday of the month for the membership meeting and bring any thoughts or ideas to be heard! We encourage you to attend as your suggestions for your upcoming contract are needed. YOUR VOICE MATTERS! 

It is always important to see Members get involved in the Membership Meetings. Your Local Meetings give you a space to share ideas, to vote on issues like nominations, events & wage allocations and to get valuable information affecting you and your Local. 

We had some Members step up to fill vacant spots on the E-Board and we still have positions available! To be eligible for nomination, you must attend the meetings prior to nominations. The only requirements are to be a member in good standing and a willingness to serve! We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.

El tiempo ha estado lluvioso y, aunque parezca que no hay trabajo disponible, todavía hay contratistas que solicitan personal. Si no llamas el primer día de cada mes para que te incluyan en la lista de desempleados, ¡podrías estar perdiéndote oportunidades!

¡¡¡NUEVOS ACUERDOS LLEGARÁN ESTE MES DE JUNIO!!!

Los contratos de pintores y yeseros finalizan en junio, ¡y la fecha se acerca rápidamente! La mejor manera de que se escuche su opinión es asistir a la reunión de miembros el segundo jueves de cada mes y compartir sus ideas y sugerencias. Les animamos a participar, ya que sus propuestas para el próximo contrato son muy importantes. ¡SU VOZ CUENTA!

Siempre es importante que los miembros participen en las reuniones de la organización. Estas reuniones locales les brindan un espacio para compartir ideas, votar sobre temas como candidaturas, eventos y asignación de fondos, y obtener información valiosa que les afecta a ustedes y a su sección local.

Algunos miembros se ofrecieron para cubrir los puestos vacantes en la Junta Directiva, ¡y todavía tenemos puestos disponibles! Para poder ser nominado, debes asistir a las reuniones previas a las nominaciones. Los únicos requisitos son ser miembro activo y tener la disposición de colaborar. ¡Esperamos verte en la próxima reunión!
