Star Event and Picketing

Members of Local 913 alongside DC16 organizers ran a successful picket against Tollner Painting for unfair labor practices in San Mateo County, resulting in a shut down of the job for the day and talks with the General Contractor about replacing them with a signatory contractor.

This Past weekend the STAR BBQ returned for the first time since the Pandemic. It has been almost 3 years since we were able to all get together and have this awesome event that is fun for the whole family. A invitation to the event requires that you take the SCT 1 course and any other STAR class through out the year. Its not to late to qualify for next years event. Members who qualify are given a door prize for attending, you can bring your family, fun activities for the kids including Face painting, bouncy houses and this year we had a dunk tank! Last but not least PRIZES! Everyone who qualifies and attends is entered in to a raffle where tons of prizes are given out.
